“Rise Up” for The Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation with Dwayne Gretzky
Hamilton business innovator, leader, and philanthropist hosting big concert to support local hospital.
It’s going to be a night Hamiltonians will never forget.
You see, a well-known business leader and philanthropist has announced that he is hosting a major concert to help support The Hamilton General Hospital, a leading and innovative regional healthcare centre that specializes in cardiac and vascular care, neuroscience, trauma and burn treatment, stroke and rehabilitation, and more.
Andrew Cigna, partner with Above All Group in Hamilton – a popular commercial and investment real estate company and growing private equity firm – has assembled a talented team of local organizers and volunteers to host The Rise Up for The Hamilton General.
The funds raised will go towards innovative equipment and technology at the world-class hospital.
The Rise Up will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 6:00 PM to Midnight at The Hamilton Convention Centre. The night will feature amazing food, drinks, laughs and lots of dancing as the main headliner will be Dwayne Gretzky.
A cheeky tribute to Canada’s favorite hockey player in name only, the band is a collective of musicians specializing in cover songs from rock and pop music’s past and present. The Rise Up will also feature local Hamilton talent before Dwayne Gretzky hits the main stage.
Dwayne Gretzky is thrilled to be the headlining band for the big night.

For Andrew Cigna, The Hamilton General holds a special place in his heart.
In late 2022, Andrew Cigna’s mother was admitted to The Hamilton General for three weeks. During that time, Andrew Cigna and his family experienced first-hand the challenges facing healthcare workers.
Seeing these challenges, Andrew Cigna saw an opportunity to help. The Rise Up was born, and the rest is history.
